Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage in the browser.

2. Types of Cookies We Use

We use essential cookies required to sign you in and operate the service securely. We also use browser storage that is not a cookie for preferences and assessment session continuity. We do not currently use advertising or third-party analytics cookies.

3. Essential Cookies

Authentication session cookies set by our auth provider (Better Auth) keep you signed in to Edgeryt Hire and protect your account. These are necessary for the service to function.

4. Analytics Cookies

We do not currently place third-party analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics or similar products) on Edgeryt Hire. If that changes, we will update this policy and obtain consent where required.

5. Functional Cookies

• Billing currency preference — stored in localStorage (not a cookie) so we can remember INR/USD/EUR in billing settings.
• Assessment session — stored in sessionStorage on the assessment origin so you can resume an in-progress attempt in the same browser tab session. It is not sent as a cookie.

6. Advertising / Marketing Cookies

We do not use advertising or marketing cookies on the Platform today.

7. Third-Party Cookies

Embedded third-party checkout or OAuth flows (for example Razorpay or Google) may set their own cookies when you use those flows. Those providers control those cookies under their policies.

8. Cookie Consent

Because we currently rely on essential cookies and first-party functional storage, we do not show a marketing cookie banner by default. If we introduce non-essential analytics or advertising cookies, we will request consent where law requires it.

9. Managing Cookie Preferences

You can clear cookies and site data in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent sign-in. Clearing session storage may end an in-progress assessment session in that browser.

10. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this policy; the last-updated date on the page will change when we do.
